Northern Wings began in 2001, with only two employees in a pole barn located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The company was incorporated as Northern Wings Repair (NWR), an FAA certificated Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of commercial aircraft wheel and brake components, with operations including welding, machining, and non-destructive testing. After sustaining uninterrupted growth, NWR moved in 2007 to a modern, purpose built 13,000 square foot facility, allowing for increased manufacturing, repair, and warehouse capacity.
Continuing to enhance capabilities, we grew to become an AS9100 certified aerospace manufacturer and stocking distributor. We provide certified materials and parts for commercial and military aircraft programs. Using our years of FAA experience, we began managing repair and overhaul programs for engines and other rotables-with great success. Currently we are serving customers such as NASA, Blue Origin, Boeing Aerospace, DLA, L-3/Harris, Northrop Grumman and Sierra Nevada Corporation.

Northern Wings is a two-time National SBA award winner (2012 & 2016) along with numerous customer honored accolades such as the L3-Technologies 2016 SBA Subcontractor of the Year.
